Bruno Mars : "Talking to the Moon" Lyrics

Bruno Mars - Talking to the Moon

"Talking to the Moon" lyrics
by Bruno Mars

I know you're somewhere out there
Somewhere far away
I want you back
I want you back

My neighbors think I'm crazy
But they don't understand
You're all I have
You're all I have

At night when the stars
Light on my room
I sit by myself

Talking to the moon, tryin' to get to you
In hopes you're on the other side talking to me too
Oh, am I a fool who sits alone talking to the moon

I'm feeling like I'm famous
The talk of the town
They say I've gone mad
Yeah, I've gone mad

But they don't know what I know
'Cause when the sun goes down
Someone's talking back
Yeah, they're talking back

At night when the stars
Light on my room
I sit by myself

Talking to the moon, tryin' to get to you
In hopes you're on the other side talking to me too
Oh, am I a fool who sits alone talking to the moon

Do you ever hear me calling?

'Cause every night
I'm talking to the moon, still tryin' to get to you
In hopes you're on the other side talking to me too
Oh, am I a fool who sits alone talking to the moon

I know you're somewhere out there
Somewhere far away

The song was written by Mars, Philip Lawrence, Ari Levine, Albert Winkler, and Jeff Bhasker, while being produced by The Smeezingtons, for Mars' debut studio album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans (2010). The song is part of the soundtrack of Brazilian telenovela Insensato Coração and reached the #2 on Brasil Hot 100 Airplay.     Mars' debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, was released digitally on October 4, and saw its physical release on October 5, 2010.[33][34] The lead single, "Just the Way You Are", was released on July 19, 2010, and has reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 as well as several other charts worldwide. The music video was released on September 8, 2010.
