Jennifer Lopez : Starting Over (Love?) Lyrics- New Song 2011

Starting Over
by Jennifer Lopez

He’s all right
He’s all wrong
He’s a player
He’s a dog

He’s my friend
He’s my foe
I just can’t leave him
I can’t go
I got my reasons
I got my pride
I got these kids
We got these ties
I had this love
I had these dreams
Falling apart at the seams

He’s my man when we’re at home
And it can’t hurt if I don’t know
All his secrets all his lies
I just keep pushing ‘em out my mind
I wish that everybody would stop judging
Pointing fingers its cutting
My heart is broken
And no matter I’m feeling so bad

I gotta make decisions
I’m strong but who am I kidding
I’ll be okay
But this love is tearing me in half

Nobody wants to be the one breaking up
I’m down on my knees and praying for his love

I’m in love
I’m still in love
I just don’t think that it’s enough
I can feel it getting colder
I’m afraid of starting over

He makes me feel like a child
He makes me happy when he smiles
He makes me sad
Makes me mad
I want to give him all I have
And I have tried to treat him good
Show support like I should
Did my part, he’s my heart
And I’ve been faithful from the start

He’s my man when we’re at home
And it can’t hurt if I don’t know
All his secrets all his lies
I just keep pushing ‘em out my mind
I wish that everybody would stop judging
Pointing fingers its cutting
My heart is broken
And no matter, I’mfeeling so bad

I gotta make decisions
I’m strong but who am I kidding
I’ll be okay
But this love is tearing me in half

Nobody wants to be the one breaking up
I’m down on my knees and praying for his love

I’m in love
I’m still in love
I just don’t think that it’s enough
I can feel it getting colder
I’m afraid of starting over

To save this life
We built together
We need another chance
It’s like my whole life
And my existence
He holds in his hands

(In his hands)

Nobody wants to be the one breaking up
I’m down on my knees and praying for his love

I’m in love
I’m still in love
I just don’t think that it’s enough
I can feel it getting colder
The time has come for starting over

Papi
by Jennifer Lopez

Let all the heat pour down
I’m good as long as he’s around
He let’s me wear the crown
I do my best to make him proud

Now all my super ladies
I got my baby
If you got your baby, baby

Move your body, move your body,
Dance for your papi
Rock your body, rock your body,
Dance for your papi
Put your hands up in the air
Dance for your man if you care
Put your hands up in the air air air
Woahh ohh ohh

Move your body, move your body,
Dance for your papi
Rock your body, rock your body,
Dance for your papi

My rock is shining bright
Even if he ain’t by my side
He’ll make sure that I glow
I’ll make sure everybody knows

Now all my super ladies
I got my baby
If you got your baby, baby

Move your body, move your body,
Dance for your papi
Rock your body, rock your body,
Dance for your papi
Put your hands up in the air
Dance for your man if you care
Put your hands up in the air air air
Woahh ohh ohh

Move your body, move your body,
Dance for your papi
Rock your body, rock your body,
Dance for your papi
Put your hands up in the air
Dance for your man if you care
Put your hands up in the air air air
Woahh ohh ohh

Step up, step up
Let your hair down
Pop, drop and lock it all down
If he wants to tear up the ground
Dance for your papi

Step up, step up
Let your hair down
Pop, drop and lock it all down
If he wants to tear up the ground
Dance for your papi

Step up, step up
Let your hair down
Pop, drop and lock it all down
If he wants to tear up the ground
Dance for your papi

Now all my super ladies
I got my baby
If you got your baby, baby

Rock your body, rock your body,
Dance for your papi
Put your hands up in the air
Dance for your man if you care
Put your hands up in the air air air

Really a great song to dance to. We like this new song from JLo. According to wikipedia: "Papi" is a Latin and electro music-flavored, up-tempo dance-pop song written by Bilal Hajji, AJ Junior and Teddy Sky, co-written and produced by BeatGeek, RedOne and Jimmy Joker. The melody is driven by "beating" drums and "pounding" synths. According to Rick Florino, from Artistdirect.com, the song also uses elements of "propulsive house" music. The lyrics center around Lopez's love for dancing for her man. Florino described the song's middle-8 breakdown as "a bass thump and seductive Spanish lines [that] pulsate in tandem before one final crescendo of the chorus. Staff from entertainment website Idolator said "While this track, like 'On the Floor,' doesn’t bring anything new to the dance party table, that isn't really a problem. This track is totally club-ready and there's no reason why it shouldn't play just as well as 'On the Floor'." Joe Guerra from The Houston Chronicle agreed calling the song one of Love?'s "best moments." Rick Florino, from Artistdirect.com, gave the song a positive review, saying that on the song, "Lopez [is] at her finest". In his review, Florino praised Lopez's voice, noting that it "pulsates with a fresh, fiery, and focused energy" while also commenting that "her unique delivery brandishes traditional Latin flare, [that] captivates listeners hypnotically." He ended by praising the song's memorable chorus and "majestic hook."
